What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting to the Stores & Inventory Manager or their designee and based in Banbury, UK, you will support departmental and organisational objectives by contributing to day‑to‑day operations, ensuring high standards of service, compliance, and performance, and working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
This fixed-term role supports a temporary increase in workload during a critical phase of the Formula 1 programme, helping to manage parts receipt, inventory management, kitting, and logistics coordination during the pre-season car build period.
Stores & Inventory Operations
- Receive parts through goods in, ensuring delivery notes, purchase orders, and physical quantities are aligned.
- Conduct accurate receipting, picking, and stock control activities to maintain inventory accuracy and traceability.
- Ensure part marking and serialization meet company standards.
- Complete part and serial marking to maintain traceability within ERP and Lifing systems.
- Pick against demand requirements and flag unavailable items.
- Manage rolling stock levels of proprietary parts and identify future demand requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organised stores environment.
Inventory Control & Logistics
- Work with stores, logistics, procurement, and parts coordinators to ensure accurate stock movements and accountability.
- Support loading and unloading of freight requirements alongside the logistics team.
- Ensure accurate ERP system data entry and alignment between physical and digital records.
- Understand technical drawings to verify delivered parts and assemblies.
- Work with the Parts and Stores Coordinator on departmental priorities.
- Travel to events when required to support a professional parts service.
What You’ll Bring
Essential
- GCSE, High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role or motorsport environment (preferably Formula 1).
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet liability/casualty insurance requirements.
Desirable
Core Competencies
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to stock accuracy.
- Ability to manage inventory and traceability requirements.
- Collaborative approach and ability to work across multiple departments.
- Ability to work within fast-paced operational environments.
Tools & Systems
- Good computer skills, ideally including Microsoft Dynamics 365, Excel, Power BI, Outlook, and Teams.
- Knowledge of race car parts and assemblies, including vendors, part functions, serialization, and part numbers.
- Ability to follow complex regulations related to shipment of materials and facility maintenance requirements.
