F1 is looking for a Senior H&S Advisor to join our Biggin Hill based corporate H&S team. This role will help protect our people and business by ensuring a safe, legally compliant and risk aware working environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
•To assist in the continued development and improvement of current management systems.
•Engaging with key stakeholders to support the drive on a positive health and safety culture, from employees right through to senior management
•Review health & safety documentation supplied by appointed contractors, agencies and suppliers.
•Create, conduct and implement policies, procedures, risk assessments, compliance process/systems, site audits, remedial actions, COSHH/DSEAR etc to ensure legal compliance is maintained.
•Supporting the wider business units on the development and delivery of operational safety protocol; identifying opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of the health and safety function internally and externally with clients
•To analyze risk across the working environment and to support change to mitigate risks
•To lead in contractor management and CDM requirements at our premises and drive improvements
About You
•5+ years experience operating as a health and safety senior/lead/manager
•NEBOSH Diploma level 6 (or equivalent) and relevant membership of a professional body
•Proven experience within an operational environment; ideally from a facilities management/property/media/hospitality background
•Experience and knowledge in Construction Design Management (CDM 2015)
•Experience and knowledge in contractor management
•Experience in influencing, engaging, and liaising with senior management to create cultural change in safety.
•Working understanding of relevant ISO systems (e.g., ISO 45001)
•Experience with H&S management systems (e.g., SHEQ platforms, incident reporting tools)
•Familiarity with data analysis tools for tracking KPIs and trends
•Strong project management skills
•Practical and hands on approach to health and safety
•Influence cultural change across all levels of an organization
•Ability to translate complex safety regulations into clear, actionable guidance
•Can work effectively with cross-functional teams, regulators, and external stakeholders
•Understands sensitive situations and manage them with diplomacy and clarity
