The Garage Technician (Factory) is responsible for maintaining and preparing the garage, equipment, and freight for race events, ensuring all tools and assets are in optimal condition and ready for deployment. The role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain a clean, organised garage, ensuring all tools, equipment, and freight are in optimal working condition
- Inspect, maintain, and repair garage tools and equipment to meet safety and performance standards
- Manage inventory of tools, equipment, and spares, ensuring availability for both factory operations and race events
- Support the turnaround of sea freight equipment, ensuring readiness for onward shipment between events
- Prepare and load race trucks for European rounds, ensuring accurate packing and efficient setup
- Load and unload airfreight ULDs, supporting transitions between flyaway and European races in line with handling procedures
- Follow safety protocols, conducting checks and reporting issues to the Team Logistics Manager and Chief Mechanic
- Provide short-notice trackside support, assisting with tyres, fuel handling, and pit stop equipment
- Support transport operations where required; an HGV Licence is advantageous but not essential

What do you need to bring to the team?
- Technical certification or diploma in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, such as a Level 3 National Vocational Qualification (NVQ)or a BTEC National Certificate/Diploma in Vehicle Technology or Engineering
- Experience in a high-level motorsport or automotive environment, preferably within Formula 1®
- Strong technical knowledge of automotive tools and equipment
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
