We are seeking a Partnership Development Lead who excels in fast‑paced, high‑performance environments and takes pride in delivering exceptional commercial leadership. In this role, you will shape commercial strategy, elevate partner relationships, and play a pivotal part in enhancing our global commercial footprint.
Purpose:
Drive Oracle Red Bull Racing’s commercial growth by identifying, developing, and closing high-value global partnerships that position the team at the forefront of the global sponsorship industry.
This is a commercial sales leadership role, responsible for owning the whole end-to-end sales-cycle with brands; identifying new revenue opportunities, building a robust global pipeline, and securing innovative, market-leading partnerships. You will play a critical role in delivering against the team’s ambition to become one of the world’s most dynamic and revered technology and performance brands.
You will lead from the front in new business generation, ensuring a consistent flow of qualified opportunities and converting them into long-term, high-value partnerships that fuel both on-track success and wider business growth, as well as managing inbound agency leads.
Role Overview:
- Own and lead the end-to-end partnership sales cycle: from prospecting and lead generation through to negotiation and deal closure
- Build, manage, and convert a high-value global sales pipeline
- Lead and inspire a team of Partnership Development Managers and Execs to deliver against ambitious revenue targets
- Develop and secure innovative, non-traditional partnerships and new revenue streams aligned with strategic business priorities
- Act as a senior commercial figurehead, with the ability to engage and represent the team with C-suite
Key Accountabilities:
Sales & Pipeline Leadership
- Own the partnership sales pipeline, driving proactive outbound lead generation alongside inbound opportunities
- Identify, target, and engage new high-value prospects globally across priority sectors
- Secure and lead senior-level commercial meetings with decision-makers (C-suite and equivalent)
- Build a sustainable pipeline of qualified opportunities, ensuring consistent conversion into revenue
- Lead, mentor, and performance-manage the commercial sales team against clear KPIs and targets
New Business Development
- Develop and execute targeted sales strategies to unlock new categories, markets, and revenue streams
- Lead strategy and proposal develop for renewal and upsell of existing commercial partners
- Leverage industry network, agency relationships, and personal profile to originate new opportunities
- Build compelling commercial narratives that align brand objectives with ORBR’s platform
Deal Conversion & Closing
- Lead complex negotiations to secure high-value, multi-year partnership agreements
- Drive deal progression with urgency, overcoming objections and aligning stakeholders
- Work closely with Legal and senior leadership to finalise commercial terms and contracts
Strategic Revenue Growth
- Identify and develop innovative commercial products and assets to maximise revenue potential
- Contribute to the broader commercial strategy, identifying new monetisation opportunities
- Support the evolution of ORBR’s offering into a best-in-class, data-driven partnership platform
Proposal & Pitch Leadership
- Work with the Commercial Operations team to develop opportunities through data and market trends
- Work with creative teams to create best-in-class, insight-led sales materials and proposals
- Ensure all pitches are tailored, commercially compelling, and conversion-focused
- Lead key presentations and pitches at the highest level
Relationship & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with agencies, brands, and key industry stakeholders
- Develop trusted, senior-level connections across global markets
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure joined-up commercial delivery
Insights & Market Intelligence
- Use data, insights, and market trends to inform targeting, positioning, and sales strategy
- Identify emerging sectors, brands, and opportunities to maintain a competitive edge
Essential Competencies:
- Proven track record of securing and closing high-value sponsorship/partnership deals
- Strong background (8 years +) in sales, business development, or commercial partnerships
- Demonstrated success in pipeline development, conversion, and revenue delivery
- Highly skilled in negotiation, objection handling, and closing techniques
- Ability to operate effectively at C-suite level
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking capability
- Experience creating high-impact sales presentations and proposals
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- Established network (“black book”) of relevant senior contacts
