Our team of hundreds of skilled experts keep Formula 1 moving. We’re on the lookout for a Sustainability Manager. Reporting to the Senior ESG Manager, the Sustainability Manager will support the delivery of projects pertinent to F1’s ESG Strategy, with a particular focus on sustainable events and operations.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the development of the sustainable event workstream by liaising with internal and external stakeholders responsible for event management to advise, develop and track their annual sustainability plans and objectives
- Liaise with accreditation, legal, communications, race promotion, media rights, health & safety motorsport and other internal teams to ensure appropriate approvals are in place for related activities
- Support the delivery of wider ESG projects across the team, with a particular focus on generating continual improvement across our operations
- Maintain project management tools and develop KPI monitoring processes for projects
- Maintain an understanding of the wider sustainability industry, particularly in events and sport
Specification Essentials:
- 3+ years experience managing sustainability programmes with a track record of practical delivery against publicly stated goals
- Extensive knowledge in ESG (environment, social and governance) topics
- understanding of sporting events preferable
- A collaborative team player with internal and external stakeholder management capabilities
- Experience with project management and ability to create and maintain relevant project management tools
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a pragmatic working style
- Self-starter and ability to work well within a team
