Purpose:
As part of the ERP team The Lifing System Senior Software Engineer will support, develop, and optimise our Lifing System and associated software to meet the needs of the business. This role works closely with internal stakeholders and end users across the campus to focus effort where it adds the most value, providing application support, technical development and business analysis.
Accountabilities:
- Manage, develop, implement, operate, and audit the Lifing System and associated software to meet business requirements.
- Evaluate alternative design concepts and recommend optimal technical solutions.
- Support and develop the use of Azure DevOps to manage expectations, document progress, and maintain transparency with stakeholders.
- Support the Lifing Systems infrastructure and underlying database architecture.
- Assist users with application-specific support requests in a professional and constructive manner.
- Perform application administration, including monitoring system performance, database tuning, data archiving, and handling data replication across multiple sites.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure the Lifing System solution supports operational and business goals.
Additional Accountabilities:
- Maintain the security stance of the company and its IT systems., including the implementation and enforcement of controls as required.
- Support the company to meet FIA regulation and compliance.
- Work to meet the objectives agreed within the performance review.
- Other tasks arising that may be reasonably required.
Essential Competencies:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, VB.NET, and Transact-SQL.
- Proven experience of developing WinForms applications.
- Skilled in object-oriented design patterns, class inheritance and .net reflection.
- Has worked in or has an interest in motor racing and understands component lifing.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Willingness to learn, contribute, and commit within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
