Your Mission
- Design and mechanical development of the MGU-K as part of the Formula 1 power unit
- Consideration of mechanical, thermal, and electrical requirements for integrating the MGU-K into the overall power unit system
- Collaboration with simulation, manufacturing, and testing to optimize parts in terms of performance and reliability
- Creation and maintenance of CAD models, drawings, and bills of materials using CATIA V5 and PDM/PLM systems
- Selection of suitable materials and manufacturing processes
- Tracking and analysis of results from testing and race operations to derive constructive improvements
- Organization of design reviews, creation of build-up instructions and technical documentation in accordance with FIA regulations
- Cross-functional collaboration in the development and design of the Energy Recovery System (ERS)

Your Profile
- Degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, mechatronics or a comparable field
- Several years of professional experience in designing high-performance electric machines or other drivetrain components in motorsport
- Solid knowledge of CATIA V5 and PDM/PLM systems
- Understanding of mechanical, thermal, and electrical requirements of high-performance drives
- Experience with FIA motorsport regulations
- Strong implementation skills, high motivation and initiative
- Excellent team spirit
- Goal-oriented, independent and structured working style
- Decision-making and conflict resolution skills
- Full professional proficiency in German or English and a willingness to attain a basic level in the corresponding other language are prerequisites
