We are looking for a Vehicle Performance Engineer to join us at Enstone. This position will play a crucial role in helping us push for podiums and race wins.
Your Challenge
As a Vehicle Performance Engineer, you will play an important role in the full-vehicle performance optimisation of the car. You will generate vehicle performance estimates to support the design, development, and operation of current and future vehicles. You will analyse vehicle performance to improve understanding of the relationship between vehicle design and vehicle dynamics.
Key Accountabilities Are
- Real-time support of trackside operations during race and test events.
- Analysis of real-world car data and simulation data using a wide variety of analysis tools and methodologies.
- Correlation of the vehicle model and lap simulation against real-world car data.
- Proactively develop vehicle performance analysis methodologies/tools which can be applied to real-world car data and/or simulation data for the goal to find performance and setup directions.
Who We Want
We are looking to enhance our talented team with someone who has previous experience, ideally within F1 or another high-level motorsport. You will have an active and curious mindset, you will constantly strive to enhance your own capabilities and those of the wider team by helping to improve our methodology and processes, championing best practice, and contributing towards the standardisation of our approach to control strategies.
You should be educated to degree level or equivalent in Engineering with a track record of working to a consistently high standard in pressurised and time sensitive situations.
You will have a strong understanding of vehicle dynamics, simulation and data analysis, with experience in using Matlab or Python an advantage. You will be self-motivated, analytical, and a pragmatic decision-maker capable of working with minimal supervision.
While your core working time will be during conventional office hours, there will be an expectation for some weekend and out-of-hours working when required in support of our team objectives
