We are looking for a Senior Quality Mechanical Inspector to join our F1 Team in Faenza, Italy.
Reporting to the Head of Quality, as a Senior Quality Mechanical Inspector you will play a crucial role in conducting inspections, ensuring components traceability, managining NCRs and CRs and supporting track fault investigations.
Responsibilities:
- perform inspection procedures on components delivered to the Quality Department by external suppliers and internal production, adhering to established procedures;
- manage Non-Conformities (NCR) and Concession Requests (CR) from both internal production and external suppliers, ensuring proper documentation and traceability;
- participate in technical meetings with designers to address Non-Conformities and Concession Requests, ensuring appropriate actions and solutions are implemented.
- ensure traceability of inspections during the inspection phase, following Quality Department guidelines;
- assist in investigations related to faults and issues involving car parts, equipment, or production tools, in collaboration with the Reliability Department, Design Office, and Race Team;
- support the Production Department by performing inspections during the production process.
Experience needed:
- Technical high school diploma;
- Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive companies (motorsport experience preferred);
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings with expertise in precision mechanics, materials, and material treatments;
- Familiarity with measurement tools: Coordinate Measuring Machines: Zeiss (Calypso software) and/or Hexagon (PolyWorks software); Anthropomorphic Measuring Arms: with laser scanning head (preferably with PolyWorks software); Standard Bench Tools: micrometer, vernier, gauge blocks, roughness meter, hardness meter, profilometer, etc.
- Knowledge of automotive Quality systems and procedures:
- Experience working with external suppliers;
- Understanding of non-conformity management and traceability concepts.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (preferred);
- Proficiency in English (B1 level preferred);
- High flexibility, including availability to work shifts, overtime, and weekends;
- Proactive attitude and strong pressure/stress management skills;
- Willingness to travel for business, both within Italy and abroad.
