Role Description
A premier, championship-contending motorsports team is seeking experienced Performance Engineers to join its top-tier IMSA GTP program.
While the preference is for a full-time, workshop-based engineer in the USA, the team is also open to applications from strong, independent remote (fly-in) Performance Engineers.
Responsibilities
- Support the Race Engineer directly across all environments: trackside, event, and in-shop.
- Collaborate with the team to identify and develop future performance improvements.
- Contribute to the continuous enhancement of data analysis workflows.
- Compile reports for drivers, manufacturers, and partners.
- Manage and maintain the engineering databases.
- Develop and apply race strategy tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional motorsports experience is preferred.
- At least 2 years of trackside experience in IMSA, WEC, F1, FE, IndyCar, or similar.
Experience & Skills
- Strong knowledge of vehicle dynamics.
- General understanding of aerodynamics and tire behavior.
- Proficiency in Excel and Python programming with a focus on data analysis is highly preferred.
- Experience with tools such as WinDarab, HHDM, HH Timing, SBG Timing, and Canopy is a plus.

Position Details
- Employment Type: Preferably Full-Time.
- Location: Workshop-based role is preferred. However, highly qualified, independent remote (fly-in) candidates will be considered.
- Travel: This position requires significant travel to all race and test events.
